TCC for 2/3/10
The Caretaker took no photos today. It snowed last night covering the ice in about a half inch of snow, not wanting the ice skating to come to an end the Caretaker spent part of his day clearing snow off some of the ice by the Island so the ice-skating can continue. Late morning the Caretaker cross country skied to the mainland to get the lowdown on some upkeep, while doing so he noticed that the sun light was illuminating the snow crystals in a shimmering sort of way, intending to share this the Caretaker filmed some of his travels over the snow. It didn't come out very well at all so the decision was to ax the footage from this post, instead some photos from the archive have been posted.
This photo from last winter is what the lake looks like now, except for the Caretakers ice-rink, a picture of that will follow in tomorrow night's post, 1/25/09:
Not sure why this photo of a wood pile was in the archive but here it is, 9/2/08:
And lastly here is a sunset photo from back in June of 2007, not a bad way to end the day, 6/11/07:

To a Texas girl who's never lived further north than Muskogee, Okla., your stories and pictures are fascinating!
Hey 3.., Thanks for the compliment, if all goes well I'll be starting up the narrative quite soon. Hope all is well down your way.
Regards,
Jeff
