The Caretaker'sConcern for 7/23/2010

TCC for 7/23/10:

Just another disgusting start to the day here on the Island:

Before there was the blog the Caretaker sent out posts via e-mail, the following is from the Caretaker's second winter on the Island:

Island Ice Report for 3/24/07:

Outside temp: 30's
Ghetto temp: 60 F
Wind: Slight, from somewhere
Sky: Clouded
Precipitation: light drizzle

Not much to report today. The Caretaker spent much of the day on the mainland doing errands and laundry. Nice and sunny this morning, but eventually the clouds rolled in and so too did the rain. All of the snow is gone from the ice and there isn't much left on the Island. The wind and warm weather from the past few days has taken all the snow away, looks as though the ice will soon become dodgy and the Caretaker will go into full recluse mode.
Received a number of responses with ideas for what to do with the tree trunk, all of them so far are about it becoming a totem pole.

L. suggests:
I say we do a totem pole reflecting some of the characters in the family and extended family.

C. advises paying "homage to the sun" since the tree was on the South side of the Island.

V. suggests:
I vote for the drunken group totem pole project this summer!

All of which are pretty good so far, however, if anyone has any other ideas please don't hesitate to pass them along.
