The Caretaker's Concern for 9/9/10

TCC for 9/9/10:

This morning, the sky was dense and complete with clouds, a sprinkle of rain here and there:

The wind was out of the West for much of yesterday but it did shift around a bit between the North and the South, quite blustery, in the sunlight it was warm, in the shade it was cool, in the wind it was chilly. Originally the Caretaker was thinking he would go to town to take care of some Island business but then decided he would rather stay on Island and take care of things here, tomorrow will be: journey to the dump day, etc.

Photos from yesterday's sunset:

Hammock photos from the archive:

To laze away a summer's day with you,
Coasting the air in a hammock for two.
Floating above ground,
Beneath glorious blue
White cloud speckled sky.

Wrapped in the warmth of sun,
Wrapped in the joy of embrace.
A gentle breeze passes us by.

Lost, yet found, between awake and asleep,
All troubles and worries escape,
Loving our love
Together keeps us our keep.

Nothing but beauteous surroundings,
And our shared beauty in between
You and me close,
Us we glide,
Together in dream.

The Caretaker has run out of time for today, what he started writing today but wasn't able to finish will have to wait until tomorrow's post.

Before there was the blog the Caretaker sent out posts via e-mail, the following is from the Caretaker's second winter on the Island:

IIR 7/18/07

Lake Temp: 72 F

Outside of today's photo (which was not taken today) there is not much to report.
Since the circus is in town I decided to send out this "cookey" photo taken at the West Point outdoor concert stage, which is a great outdoor venue. If you haven't been there for a show you should definitely go: lawn seating, bring your own (and not just seats, coolers, etc. are allowed), and the view for the audience is overlooking the Hudson River! Sure it's polluted as all get out but it's still pretty to look at.
Tomorrow's photo will be a landscape.
