The Caretaker's Concern for 5/19/2010

TCC for 5/19/10

"New" 2007 post follows below.

The Caretaker is officially on hiatus from his blog until at least the end of this week but most likely through the end of next week. However, he will still have the e-mails from 2007 posted every night at 9 p.m. EST, they will be going out via the automated system. If the Caretaker happens to take some photos and has the time to post them he will do so. For those readers who have relied on the Caretaker's notifications of new posts via Facebook, while he is on hiatus from his blog he will not be sending out notifications via Facebook for the automated posts from 2007. If you'd like, you can sign up for e-mail notifications by entering your e-mail address at left, it is titled: "To receive E-mail notification of new posts:" It is just below the Caretaker's brief profile.

Before there was the blog the Caretaker sent out posts via e-mail, the following is from the Caretaker's second winter on the Island:

Island Ice Report for 3/7/07

It's cold, mostly clear, 55 F in the Ghetto.
The Caretaker was on the mainland all day and much of this night, he got back to the Island at around 11 p.m. He wound up spending the last three hours giving a "pep talk" to G.G. about how he can turn a profit from the artwork he has created. It is such a shame how laziness and fear of failure can prevent us from doing things, oh, and wasting away in front of the television too. Still own one? Throw it out.
Today's picture was taken just outside of the Laundry mat where the Caretaker does his laundry, it is not too exciting of a picture, some mountain at sunset, but it beats more shots of the Caretaker's laundry going round and round.
Sorry this one's so short but the Caretaker has to rinse and soak beans for sprouts before he goes to sleep. The sprouts mark phase one of the Caretaker's master plan which is to be completely self-sufficient and thus never ever have to go to the mainland again for anything, ever.
"What about Gin?"
DANG.. No matter how much you try, they always pull you back, they always pull you right back in. Alright, so now there is an additional phase to the master plan. Anyone know how to build a still for Gin? By the way, who are you anyway, bringing down my good time and all?
"You'll find out soon enough."
