The Caretaker's Concern for 7/30/2010

TCC for 7/30/10:

Nothing new, post from 2007.

Before there was the blog the Caretaker sent out posts via e-mail, the following is from the Caretaker's second winter on the Island:

Island Ice Report for 3/28/07:

Lake Temperature: 34.5 F

The morning was rather calm, but not too long into it the wind picked up from the East so strong that the Caretaker stayed on the South West side of the Island. After some photography in the morning and getting a few chores out of the way the Caretaker decided to go canoeing. A narrow channel opened up in the ice between the Island and Clay Island so since the Caretaker already had the canoe in the water for a chore, he decided to paddle on over to Clay Island, the channel arced over to the "elbow" of Clay Island which is the point on "The Texan's" property (the Texan no longer owns the property but since the Caretaker doesn't know who the current owner is he is going to just refer to it as the Texan's, this is not a Stasney's thing, he just doesn't know who the current owner is). Once over there the Caretaker stuck a foot out of the canoe and touched the shore, just to be official, and then paddled back to Recluse. Other than that no much else to report about today.

Thanks to all of you who commented on yesterday's photos, the Caretaker is quite glad that you enjoyed them, hopefully there will be more to come.
